Pathways Consultation Package Information

The one-hour consultation package is designed for students and families who want a focused, personalised pathways consultation to explore subject choices, study options, and future career directions.
The initial consultation package includes:
  • Pre-screening of materials (e.g. report cards, résumé, background information) provided in advance, allowing the consultant to gain a clear understanding of the student before the session.
  • One-hour online consultation delivered via Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
  • Comprehensive follow-up report summarising the discussion and outlining tailored recommendations, emailed directly to both the student and parent.
The Pathways Consultation:
A Pathways Consultation is a personalised session designed to help students (and their families) make confident, informed decisions about senior schooling, tertiary study, and future careers. Drawing on the insights from Pathways in Queensland, these consultations go beyond subject selection;  they connect school choices with long-term opportunities, whether that’s university, vocational education, traineeships, or direct-to-work pathways.

In each session, we:
  • Map your current strengths, interests, and goals.
  • Explore subject and qualification options in Queensland (and nationally and internationally if desired)
  • Highlight how different pathways contribute to ATAR, tertiary entry, or employment.
  • Identify opportunities such as early entry programs, VET guarantees, scholarships, and alternate entry routes.
  • Build a clear, tailored action plan for your next steps.

The goal is simple: clarity, confidence, and a future direction that feels right for you.

Senior Schooling Overview + Initial Pathways Consultation Package Information

The two-hour consultation package is designed for students and families who want both a clear understanding of the Queensland senior schooling system and a personalised pathways consultation.

This extended session includes:
  • Pre-screening of materials (e.g. report cards, résumé, background information) provided in advance, allowing the consultant to gain a clear understanding of the student before the session.
  • Two-hour online consultation delivered via Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
  • Comprehensive follow-up report summarising the discussion and outlining tailored recommendations, emailed directly to both the student and parent.

Part 1: Queensland Senior Schooling Overview
We begin with a clear explanation of the Queensland system to ensure students and families understand the key requirements and opportunities, including:
  • How QCE (Queensland Certificate of Education) is awarded.
  • The role of QCAA subjects and assessment.
  • ATAR calculation and scaling.
  • QTAC processes and university applications.
  • VET pathways, school-based traineeships and apprenticeships, and alternate study options.
  • Key timelines and milestones across Years 11–12.

Part 2: Pathways Consultation
A Pathways Consultation is a personalised session designed to help students (and their families) make confident, informed decisions about senior schooling, tertiary study, and future careers. Drawing on the insights from Pathways in Queensland, these consultations go beyond subject selection; they connect school choices with long-term opportunities, whether that’s university, vocational education, traineeships, or direct-to-work pathways.

In this part of the session, we:
  • Map your current strengths, interests, and goals.
  • Explore subject and qualification options in Queensland (and nationally and internationally if desired).
  • Highlight how different pathways contribute to ATAR, tertiary entry, or employment.
  • Identify opportunities such as early entry programs, VET guarantees, scholarships, and alternate entry routes.
  • Build a clear, tailored action plan for your next steps.

The outcome: families leave with both an informed understanding of how the Queensland system works and a personalised action plan for the student’s next steps.
